Pearson Butler in the Community
Serving Our Community With Scholarships, Pro Bono Work and More
At Pearson Butler, our team is passionate about helping people. Thankfully, we are able to fulfill this passion in our everyday work by representing people in need of legal assistance. Our passion extends beyond the courtroom, and we are grateful for the opportunity to help our community through other avenues.
College Scholarships
Our scholarship program provides deserving high school seniors with money for college. Recipients are chosen based on the content of an essay, in which we ask applicants to describe challenges they have encountered in the past. The program is sponsored by our firm partners, who have given scholarships to 20 students in the past year! To learn more about our scholarship program, visit our scholarship page.
Litter Clean-up
On several occasions throughout the year, the Pearson Butler team works with the Adopt-a-Highway program to pick up trash on the roads.
Pro Bono Representation
Pearson Butler is committed to providing legal help to as many people as we possibly can. Unfortunately, a number of individuals in need of representation are unable to afford the cost of hiring a lawyer. By volunteering with groups such as Pro Se Court and the Tuesday Night Bar, we are able to provide less fortunate individuals with quality legal services.
Pencils of Promise and Where Much is Given Foundation Partnership
Our past initiatives have included work with Pencils of Promise and the Where Much is Given Foundation. With the help of these organizations, we raised money to build two schools in Guatemala and in Ghana in 2016.
Quarters for Christmas
Pearson Butler was proud to contribute to KSL’s Quarters for Christmas Campaign and ensure that Utah children can stay warm during the cold winter months. Find out more on our blog.
Thank you to everyone on the Pearson Butler team and our great partner charities for making all of these programs possible! We are looking forward to expanding on these initiatives and engaging in other opportunities in the future.
